Eric Thord

Eric Thord has led Hirsch Group since 2012, driving the company’s international development and embodying a strategic vision focused on innovation, sustainable growth, and technological sovereignty in electronic security. Under his leadership, Hirsch Group has become a leading European player in securing critical sites, developing advanced solutions that meet the cybersecurity standards recommended by ANSSI to protect military facilities, ministries, and embassies worldwide.
Before joining Hirsch Group, Eric held executive positions in the security industry, including as General Manager at Sorhea, where he expanded international sales and oversaw the company’s LBO acquisition, and as President of Vesta Capital, where he led a high-end intrusion systems group through strategic acquisitions and significant growth in revenue and staff.

Steven Humphreys

Steven Humphreys was appointed Deputy CEO of Hirsch Group in September 2024 following the merger of Vitaprotech and Hirsch. He brings over three decades of experience leading security technology companies, with a focus on government-grade logical and physical access control, secure credentials, digital identity solutions, and RFID and mobile application software.
Prior to his current role, Steven served as CEO of Hirsch (formerly Identiv) from 2015 to 2024 and was a member of its Board of Directors from 1996. He has led several pioneering companies in the field, including SCM Microsystems, an early developer of CAC/PIV readers and applications, and ActivCard, specializing in CAC card platforms and software.
Steven holds a B.S. degree from Yale University and M.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Stanford University.
