UNIRIS - BIRIS

Sorhea

Thanks to technology used as well as the multiple configuration possibilities, the UNIRIS II / BIRIS II products bear the hallmarks of SORHEA’s expertise.

The AGC guarantees detection reliability 4 selectable channels prevent interferences between barriers, to gurantee an efficient operation of the installation.

The UNIRIS II / BIRIS II barriers propose ranges of 50, 100 or 200 m. As the modules can be stacked on top of eachother the UNIRIS II / BIRIS II can be used as a modular solution to best adapt to the site requirements.

During installation, the integrated alignment tools (audible and visual leds) make the products easy to use. The alignment feedback function is also available on BIRIS II 200m.

Thanks to a reliable, tried-and-tested technology integrated into some small products, UNIRIS II / BIRIS II is a solution that meets the needs of the perimeter detection market.

  • RANGE : 50 m to 200 m outside
  • RELIABLILITY : selectable channels, automatic gain control (AGC)
  • USER-FRIENDLY : quick and easy installation, elegant design
Applications

Applications

UNIRIS II / BIRIS II barriers are designed for internal and external use. The applications are, therefore, diversified: protection of or wall-tops, roof-tops, gates, building façades of small industrial sites and private villas.

Thanks to the modularity, easy and quick installation of UNIRIS II BIRIS II barriers, it is also possible to secure sites with special installation and configuration (for instance, building roofs).

There are also very specific applications such as building façades, roof edges, wall tops, or gates.

Technology

Technology

This technology works at a wavelength above that of visible light (950nm), which makes the IR beam invisible to the naked eye.

The infrared beams are transmitted and received by infrared cells. The transmitter cellsgenerate a pulsed beam that is sent towards the receiver cellswhich capture the infrared pulses and transform them into electrical signals. In the absence or variation of the signal (loss of 95% of the transmitted signal), an intrusion alarm is triggered. To prevent the receiver cells from being interfered with by the transmitted infrared beams thecells are multiplexed.

This principle consists in transmitting an infrared pulse in a synchronised manner, via an optical or wired link between the transmitter and receiver columns. This feature is also used to optimize the alignment of the cells (“alignment feedback”). All the Hirsch IR barriers are multiplexed (except UNIRIS II & BIRIS II).

Recommendation for installation

Recommendation for installation

To use the barriers correctly, it is important to ensure that the barrier is not installed on an unstable support (e.g. badly sealed pole, etc.). Before installing an infrared barrier, check that the ground is quite level and will guarantee the stability of the columns with time. A maximum of 10° elevation may be tolerated between the columns. In case of elevation above 10°, contact the Hirsch sales team.

Check that no vegetation can block the beams, no matter the season and weather condition (wind).

It is also important to check the cleanliness of the covers: it is important to clean them with a soft and damp cloth at least once a year.
